22nd Annual Messiah Sing-Along

Presented by the Elko Religious Leaders Association

December 6, 5:00 p.m.

Messiah, by George Frideric Handel, although originally composed for Easter and Lent, has become a treasured Christmas Tradition by many.

Composed in 1741, Handel's Messiah, was first performed in 1742. Since that time, Messiah, has been performed countless times through the centuries.

21 years ago, under the sponsorship of the Elko Religious Leader's Association (ERLA), the first Sing-A-Long of the Messiah took place, and as they say... "the rest is history." Since that time each year the community has gathered to sing this great music.

In 2005, the first year of the Crèche Exhibit, the organizers thought it fitting to combine and include the Sing-A-Long as part of the Exhibit, since both are in celebration and reverence of our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Each year since, the Messiah Sing-Along is the climax of the Exhibit.

*Copies of the music are available to borrow.

Don't want to sing-a-long? That's OK, just come, listen, and enjoy!
